Football ! The word football in Cameroon resonates high and is linked to its people. Football is a word which is emotionally-charged. In Cameroon, Football is very important. It is not just a game but a culture , a way of being-to-the-world ;a way of relating to the turmoils of life; a way of being brave and strong ; a way of being courageous! Football is deeply engraved into the habits and feelings of Cameroonians. When the Indomptable Lions are to play, like today (20/01/2015) it is perceptible. Places are different. Football in Cameroon has undergone several changes since its pentration in Cameroon in the early1950's. Football and its elements that is the football , the T-shirt , the gathering and the beer, the players themselves are becoming powerful symbolic elements. They impact of the symboloc nature of Football in the minds of Cameroonians is such that when you look at the photo below to your left you'd perhaps feel queer when you see a T-shirt encaged telling you :
"take me or leave me , win or loose we are together"
